Even though I knew it was not going to be a “feel good” kind of show, I was not prepared for the emotion of the show and for the tears to flow at the end. The performances by this cast are genuine and real, and the performance by the young woman playing Carrie is nothing short of stunning. Kudos to Andrew Abrams and Gail Becker for an amazing first full production from their Conservatory. I look forward to what they’ll be doing next! We are so lucky to be surrounded by so much fantastic theater in this town.

Loved it. Highly-talented high school-age cast playing high school-age characters. Terrific!

“…fantastic! A stellar cast with some truly epic voices brings a fresh take to the well-known characters, while still keeping true to their origins. Capital City Theatre is especially strong with the tragic elements of the show (I teared up/outright cried a few times, especially in Act 2). I would happily attend all three nights if I could! Highly recommended.”

This was so GOOD!!!! Blew my mind how much talent on one stage!!! If (you) have any connections to Stephen King, please tell him to come to Madison to see his work paying off in a major. Congrats to all for an awesome show!!

WELL DONE, CAST, PIT AND CREW!! Wonderful performances, moving work...I had a hard time looking the antagonist actors in the eyes post-show on Saturday night ;) what'sreal?! 'Chris' is the real evil in this story. Way to bring it home! I look forward to seeing the next production.”

“There's lots to see this weekend, but I took some time to see a bunch of fine actors that I know …in this production of Carrie. The entire cast was amazing. Would have thought this was months in the making and not just 3 weeks from the first rehearsal.”
